dabbling in diy

I recently got an embroidery machine, a Brother PE-770. Here are a few of my first samples and experiments.

Built in designs, aside from the horse and carriage which was a free download.

My attempts at figuring out how to digitize an applique of Arial letters, learning all about stitch width and density.

Experimenting with monograms. The first one on the left was a free download from Cute Embroidery’s member community and just didn’t work out for me. The thread kept breaking and I could see I didn’t like how it was digitized anyway. The second two monograms were auto digitized from a free font and really illustrate what a difference digitizing makes in how a design comes out. Also stitched out some embellishments which were free downloads as well in different kinds of thread.

And lastly, playing around some more with built in fonts and borders.
